Biological Drain Dosing System - Hotel/Catering & Industrial

Plas Gwilym Environmental installs and maintains Biological Drain Dosing Systems. These systems provide accurate automatic dosing of environmentally friendly products that will naturally prevent the build up of fats, oil and grease providing they are applied regularly and at the appropriate time of day.

The systems we set up are versatile and can be adapted for any situation, from commercial kitchens through to sewage treatment works, targeting different types of effluent, breaking down oils, fats and greases and reducing maintenance and disposal costs.

The bacteria used consumes organic matter in the drain system, with the end result that any organic waste is consumed by the bacteria and are therefore no longer present to produce odours, pollution or an unsightly mess. It is a completely natural process that happens every day in our environment and the bacteria used are not genetically modified.

As part of the Biological Drain Dosing System, typically a 25 litre drum of product is installed along with a peristaltic pump, which is programmable and runs off battery supply.

Drums are usually replaced on a quarterly basis, dependant on the dosage levels and the batteries and pump are checked on a six-monthly basis as part of the service.

Biological Drain Dosing Systems can be situated in any kitchen and/or place where access can be obtained through to a main sewer discharge pipe or to feed pipes leading into a grease trap or tank.

They are very easily installed, maintained and programmed and provide significant savings in terms of drain clearance costs. It also mitigates against legal action and prosecution from contamination of the drainage system, saving £1,000s in potential costs and adverse local press to small businesses.

Plas Gwilym Environmental is offering low cost options to minimise your monthly payments and ensure that your system runs efficiently throughout the year.

This is a product that works, is environmentally the best option available and has no affect on the sewer system or the local water treatment works.
